Supporting U.S. Veterans with new tools and services

By Grow with Google | Product Inclusion

There are unique challenges of serving in the military, coming home, and transitioning to civilian life. Many Googlers who are Veterans have been there. And members of our global VetNet employee resource group have compiled tools over the years to help other Veterans around the world adjust, based on their own experiences.

A new commitment to Veterans

Google recently launched a new commitment to supporting our Veterans. We're offering new, free resources designed specifically for the unique needs of  military personnel, military spouses and veterans who seek to

  • Look for jobs on Search using a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Code
  • Identify a business as Veteran-Led with Google My Business
  • Launch a career in IT Support by earning an IT Support Professional Certificate

Accelerating with Google

The tools are part of the Grow with Google initiative, which draws on our company's 20-year history of building products, platforms, and services that guide people to develop new skills and help businesses of any size expand.

Google is also providing this service to other companies, across industries. Veterans can enter their Military Occupational Specialty codes on the career sites of coporations like Siemens, veteran job sites like Getting Hired and job boards like CareerBuilder and Mid-America Careers. And any job site can use this Google technology to display civilian job postings. It's made possible by Google's Cloud Talent Solution.

We're excited to share our latest offerings for Veterans and their families, inspired by the courage, strength, and commitment of those who serve.
